First year student advice - Macquarie University

Z
7.8 /10

Macquarie is known for being very good with psychology degrees and studies - also many people told me that it is good for this. It is also very close to where I live and therefore it is cheaper transport.

Course Curriculum :

I have only just begun this course but so far it is quite detailed/content heavy but quite interesting. The lectures are very full and there is quite a bit of reading that has to be done before each week so time needs to be dedicated to this.

Fees :

The fee for the course plus an extra small fee for something else. You can put them both for HECS fee help and therefore don't have to pay anything up front.

Examination Structure :

The first year's exam (midterm and final exam for the semester) is multiple choice with a couple of short answer responses. I haven't completed one yet but will be soon. It also has weekly quizzes of 10 multiple choice questions.

Faculty :

They provide a lot of support with both academics and other areas of uni life which is very beneficial for first-year uni students such as me.
