My leading factor was to enter a diploma program to gain enough skills to enter the entry level programming jobs in Canada, meaning nothing too fancy and expensive. Diplomas can be completed for as cheap as 11L INR. I chose computer programming since it is a field where jobs lie in abundance in Canada due to understaffed corporates for computer science jobs.
Course Curriculum :
At the helm of the curriculum, it mostly includes courses for dynamic web development, basic back end languages such as Java as well as some courses in the field of Computer Networks. All of this has job opportunities in real life and often considered as must known skills by employers. Students only pick one of those options and then begin specialization so it's not like keeping feet in multiple boats.

Placement :
Computer Programming is one of the top 7 short staffed fields in Canada. I plan to work towards Web Development in the future and despite less salary than software, there are a good number of jobs out in real life. Junior Web Developer is the most offered profile after graduation. Salary is in the vicinity of 45000 CAD in this profile and medchart, trellis are some who come to Conestoga
Events :
There's a lot to kill time with on campus which could include a visit to the sports center and play a 5v5 basketball game or table tennis or badminton among other options. We have comfy student lounges to brush up on assignments or just sit there while browsing through the internet between classes. All the Indian festivals are henceforth handled by the Indian Student Association at Conestoga, to make us feel at home, we get several events laid out for diwali and holi. I have already mentioned Sports and yes there is free college internet all over Conestoga

Faculty :
Student to faculty ratio would be like 10:1 so restricting to reduction in class sizes. Less students is equal to more personal time for one on one with fellow professors with adequate attention. The professors are above average for Computer Programming at Conestoga, nothing too exciting in general.
Hostel :
Found out a decent apartment on Kijiji on 11 month lease. Paid a small deposit while still in India on the basis of pictures, went to Canada and saw the place. I liked it so paid the remaining amount, got a room to myself for 500 CAD and it's just one other student to share everything else with so no compromise on private space and justified costing.
