Reflection on University of Calgary

Specialization in energy and environment. Combination of courses that are offered by the university of Calgary.

Course Curriculum :

The material is relevant to the courses and also research is in the form of projects every semester. Industrial exposure didn’t get any as I'm still a student.

Exams :

Ielts overall 6.5 with 6 in each atleast. Other than that cgpa of minimum 2.8 with 3 in last two years required.

Placement :

I have no idea about that as I’m still studying but the career offices help you with job hunting. The student usually applies on their own and help themselves and the average salary in the field for my degree goes to around 60,000 per annum.

Internship :

No, I haven’t until now but planning to do it this summer.

Fees :

26,000 CAD

Scholarship :

No I haven’t

Faculty :

The ratio varies with diff classes and professors. Some known professors with experience in dealing with a lot of students do so with a class as big as 159 but TAs are there to help.

Campus Life :

Not much experience right now because of covid but the infrastructure is great and a lot of activities to do and explore.

Hostel :

You can find a place near the university for around 500 if you share and get a personal room and drop down to 300 if you plan on living in sharing a room too.
