My canadian college experience

I applied for express entry program in 2020 to get PR in Canada so that I can pursue DDS in Canada with the Canadian government loan which would be offered to Canadian PR holders. However, God has a different plan with Covid -19 impacting everyone around the world in someway. So, I started working in a covid hospital in Visakhapatnam which sparked my interest in learning about healthcare administration which lead me choose Canadore college as I heard good reviews about this college. I studying in Canadore college can say that the college covers all the required mandate posted by the government of Ontario. Also the teachers are so warm and try to help you in every possible way to get you a better knowledge and understanding. Currently the classes are online! Therefore, if you wish to pursue any course in Canada and want to attend offline, may be they resume after the pandemic ends.

Course Curriculum :

Healthcare law, leadership, ethics, statistics, capstone project, healthcare computer applications and healthcare policy, financial statements analysis, role plays, in class activities like seminars, presentations, discussions, debates, breakout room activities and many more new things to learn here.

Exams :

If you are an international student applying for Canadore college at Stanford, you need a minimum IELTS score of 6.5. I scored an IELTS band 7.0 fulfilling the requirements before proceeding for the further admission process.

Placement :

It all depends on ability to present in the Canadian set up. During my education I was offered care support assistant job in a long-term care home. If you are studying for two years this can be a good opportunity to grow.

Internship :

I volunteered in a hospice and a hospital to learn canadian working style.

Fees :

Tution fee is 16000CAD

Scholarship :

None

Faculty :

My program has faculty to student ratio of 4:25. All the staff are highly approachable and they try to suggest you the possible ways to grow in the career. However, Canadian employers ask for Canadian experience in Canada which as international students will not have. So any student had to struggle in his/ her initial days as our Indian education or Indian experience hubby is not valid till we clear licensing exams in Canada.

Campus Life :

College held a fest during my study and Facebook competitions and cash prizes for the participants and winners is a part of the event.

Hostel :

In Scarborough, Mississauga and Brampton the average rent for international students range from 350$ to 600$ in sharing and upto 800$ for individual rooms.
