AFMC MBBS Admission 2021-22: Notice Released for Screening Process; Check Details Here


New Delhi: The Armed Forces Medical College, (AFMC) Pune has released the notification for the MBBS admission screening process.. 

The medical counseling committee (MCC) submitted a revised merit list and the list of candidates shortlisted for screening to be conducted at AFMC, Pune has been released. Candidates can check the reporting date / time. The list is in the order of NEET UG Roll number. 

Candidates appearing for the MBBS admission screening process should report to OIC Admission Cell (Dhanvantari Auditorium Gate No.5), AFMC, Pune. The college will send separate call letters for all the shortlisted candidates. 

Candidates must note that if they fail to appear for the screening process on the stipulated date, then it will be assumed that he / she does not wish to appear for screening and no representation in this regard will be entertained by AFMC. 

All the shortlisted candidates can send a confirmation mail regarding their attendance for the screening process at AFMC, Pune till 5 PM, today, on February 3, 2022. 

The email should be enclosed with a title 'Willingness to attend AFMC MBBS Admission Screening for NEET UG 2021, mentioning their NEET- UG Roll Number and NEET score to the following email address: oicadmission@gmail.com. 

AFMC Screening Process 2021-22: Different Stages of Screening 

The shortlisted candidates are advised to go through the information brochure available on official AFMC website www.afmc.nic.in & www.afmcdg1d.gov.in, to know the detailed information about the stages of AFMC admission screening process

Following are the stages of admission screening process at AFMC, 

  • Identification and Verification of documents
  • Test of English Language Comprehension, 
  • Logic & Reasoning (ToELR) 
  •  Psychological Assessment Test(PAT)
  • Interview by the Board ofOfficers
  • Medical Examination & Medical Board

AFMC Screening Process 2021-22: Reporting Time for the Admission 

The college has notified two shifts for the screening process, i.e, 07.30 AM and 10.30 AM respectively as mentioned for each batch. 

Each candidate will have to undergo a document verification process, ToELR& PAT and interview on the reporting day, followed by a Medical Examination, on the next day from 07.30 AM onwards. 

Candidates appearing for the screening process are required to make their own arrangements during their stay in Pune. 

AFMC Screening Process 2021-22: Requests to Change Interview Dates 

The college has notified that any requests regarding the change of the interview dates will not be entertained except under exceptional circumstances.

However, in such cases, the candidate can submit a request regarding change of dates of interview by sending an email by 5 PM on February 3, 2022. The email should be titled with subject, 'Request for Change of Screening Date' mentioning their NEET-UG Roll Number and NEET Score to the respective email address: oicadmission@gmail.com. 

The College will not entertain requests to change the interview date through call / post or any other mode and only genuine cases will be accommodated on available days by OIC Admission Cell subject to approval of Dean & Dy Comdt. 

Thereafter, the OIC Admission Cell will send a confirmation mail to the respective candidates, mentioning the new date & time of reporting for the interview. 

Once the admission screening process begins, the college will not accept the candidate's requests to change the interview date from 5 PM on February 4, 2022. 

AFMC Screening Process 2021-22: Documents Required 

Candidates appearing for the admission screening are required to carry the following original and the self-attested true copies, which are, 

  • NEET – 2021 Admit Card
  • Result Sheet of NEET – 2021 
  • Class X Marksheet d) Class X Pass Certificate (If not mentioned in Class X marksheet)
  • Class XII Mark Sheet Class XII Pass Certificate (If not mentioned in Class XII marksheet) 
  • Transfer Certificate/School leaving certificate If available 
  • Migration Certificate If available 
  • Proof of Date of Birth 
  • Aadhaar Card – Photocopy (Mandatory requirement for registration with MUHS)
  • Nationality Certificate/Passport/Domicile certificate Required by MUHS 
  • Gap Certificate (duly signed by Notary) – would be made in AFMC if required Required by MUHS 
  • Proof of having passed class XII as a regular candidate 
  • Character Certificate 
  • Caste Certificate If applicable 
  • Caste Validity certificate 
  • Affidavit with FIR in case of duplicate certificate 
  • Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Equivalence Certificate If applicable 
  • Domicile Certificate If available 
  • Domicile Certificate If applicable 
  • Proof of income of parents 
  • NCC certificate If applicable Sports Certificate If applicable 
  • Serving Certificate / Ex-serviceman certificate If applicable 
  • Document Surrender Certificate If applicable 
  • Certificate of Extracurricular activities and level of representation If applicable 
    • Coloured photograph of candidate with white background : 16 passport size & 16 stampsize. 
    • Printout of registration page detail from MCC website 

It should be noted that candidates who fail to bring the above-listed documents, their participation in the admission screening process will be declined. 

If the candidate has submitted the above mentioned documents in some other college/ institute, then a certificate stating that the following documents have been deposited at the institute from the Dean/ Principal of the concerned hospital / institute should be produced. 

Candidates are requested to report on an empty stomach on the day of Medical Examination and get their ear wax cleaned before reporting for the screening process. 

The College has informed the candidates that appearing for the screening process does not necessarily mean confirmation of their eligibility for admission. 

Candidate's eligibility will be scrutinized at the time of screening and its subsequent stages of admission.

If the number of candidates (boys/ girls) reporting for the screening process is found to be inadequate, then the OIC Admission Cell will call additional registered candidates for the screening. 

Candidates registered for AFMC whose scores are below the cut-off score of AFMC Screening are advised to keep a track on the AFMC website for latest updates.
