New Delhi: The new sprawling University Centre of Ahmedabad University is ready to challenge all perceptions pertaining to a university building to keep students at the centre of education.
The University Centre of Ahmedabad University was inaugurated on 13th Foundation Day. Being the first of its type in Gujarat and PAN India, it competes globally. It is 2.25 lakh sq. ft. and comprises two basement parking levels, a multipurpose ground floor and four storeys of varied facilities along with a rooftop jogging facility.

To raise the structure at the heart of the campus, Ahmedabad University hired Delhi based architectural design firm SPA Design whose head is Stephane Paumier. SPA Design was earlier hired for the School of Arts and Science building.

The execution of the University Centre started just during the onset of the pandemic. After two years, when students started fully with their offline lectures, they encountered an incredible surprise.
As stated by Stephane, the University Centre is for everyone by default. One can get there during free lectures or free time between lectures.
Stephane further asserted that the building is hybrid due to its multipurpose approach through the facilitation of seven different usages.

For admissions at Ahmedabad University, candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the respective courses and should clear the cut-off. The application process is online through the official website www.ahduni.edu.in. An account needs to be created in the Admissions Portal of Ahmedabad University, followed by filling the online application form, uploading relevant documents and paying the application fee online.
