AIIMS Bhopal PhD Admission 2022 Open; Last Date to Apply is August 8

New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal has begun the application process for admission to the PhD course for the academic year 2022-2023. Candidates can download the application form from the official website aiimsbhopal.edu.in 

AIIMS Bhopal is inviting applications for PhD in Physiology, PhD in Biochemistry, PhD in CFM, and PhD in Pharmacology. Candidates will have to sit for a written entrance examination and then have to appear for the Personal Interview (PI) round. 

Candidates who have not received their final year Master’s or MPhil certificate or mark sheet can also apply for the course at AIIMS Bhopal. However, they should fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria and produce the same at the time of admission. 

Admission to AIIMS Bhopal for PhD programmes began online. Candidates can download the application form online and submit the same by August 8, 2022.

AIIMS Bhopal PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

A candidate seeking admission to the course of study leading to the award of a PhD Degree must possess at least one of the following qualifications: 

Medical Candidates

MBBS/BDS with minimum 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS/MDS/DM/M. Ch in the subject concerned or Diplomate of National Board of Examination. Candidates who have obtained any of these degrees from medical colleges which are not recognized by the Medical Council of India shall not be eligible to apply. 

Non-Medical Candidates

Candidates shall have a Master’s Degree awarded by Indian Universities or equivalent in the subject as per the requirement of the project. Candidates holding M.Sc. (Other than M.Sc. Nursing) MTech. degree & BAMS will be eligible for the Non-Medical Qualification Category.

Candidates having eligibility under the non-medical category should have at least 55% marks in the last eligibility examination qualified.

AIIMS Bhopal PhD Admission 2022: Selection Process 

• Candidates will be selected on the basis of the written entrance examination. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for Personal Interview rounds. The final selection will be done on the basis of both. 
• The Special weightage of 10 marks will be added to the total score for candidates holding a Medical Degree (MBBS/ BDS/ MDS/ DNB/ MD/ MS/ DM/M.Ch.) or equivalent and for the in-service and sponsored candidates.
• Non- Medical candidates who have qualified Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF/ ICMR – JRF/ICMR- SRF/DBT – JRF/DBT - SRF/NBHM screening test/INSPIRE fellowship/UGC – JRF/UGC - SRF/CSIR – JRF/CSIR– SRF/DST/SERB – JRF/DST/SERB– SRF will be given special weightage in the entrance examination as detailed in the method of selection part of guidelines.

AIIMS Bhopal PhD Admission 2022: How to Apply?

Candidates will have to download the prospectus of the PhD programme. The application form is attached to the prospectus on Page 16. Candidates need to print the application form and fill in the required information. The application form has to be attached with the demand draft which is to be paid by Demand Draft only in favour of “Director AIIMS Bhopal” payable at Bhopal.
