AKTU Scraps UPSEE 2021 for Engineering Admission; JEE Main Scores to be Considered; Details Here

AKTU has scrapped UPSEE 2021 for admission to engineering courses at the university. From 2021, the university will consider scores of JEE Main 2021 only, that is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will not be conducting UPSEE for undergraduate engineering aspirants from the coming year. AKTU has issued an official notice on its website regarding this revised admission policy 2021-22.

As per data, many technical universities in India have already started considering JEE Main scores for admission to their engineering courses. Subsequently, AKTU gets featured in the list again.

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE Main every year. This gives an opportunity to aspirants to score well, even if their first session scores are not good enough.

Even for long, scores of students in Uttar Pradesh had to appear in two entrance exams, JEE Main and UPSEE for admission to engineering courses. This move will help students prepare well only for one exam. AKTU has been conducting UPSEE to fill 1.4 lakh seats in its 750 colleges.

At present, JEE Main is conducted as a gateway for admission to National Institutes for Technology (NITs), Centrally-Funded Technical institutions (CFTIs) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
