Amity University, Kolkata, IIARI Sign MoU To Offer Student Internships; Check Details Here


Amity University, Kolkata’ Amity College of Commerce and Finance has signed an MoU with the Integrated Institute of Advanced Research and Information (IIARI) to offer internship opportunities to the aspiring students. 

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Integrated Institute of Advanced Research and Information (IIARI) and Amity University, Kolkata’ Amity College of Commerce and Finance on October 25, as a part of the collaboration to provide internship opportunities with practical training on industry trends. 

According to the telegraph reports, the institutions will host a number of student enrichment programmes, research and development activities, training, seminars, and workshops for the students of both institutes to train them according to the industry requirements. 

Further, both the institutions have planned to jointly offer other programmes like women’s empowerment and remedial courses for the students from economically weaker section backgrounds.

According to the telegraph report, Shauvik Roy Chowdhury, Deputy Registrar, Amity University, Kolkata said that the MoU is still under its initial stages and the main aim of the university is to offer opportunities to the students by providing them with hands-on experience and industrial skills. 

He added that the IIARI will offer more student internship opportunities so that they're industry-ready. Meanwhile, the partnership of both institutions will be beneficial for all the students.

Keya Das Ghosh, Assistant Director and Head, Amity College of Commerce and Finance said that the main purpose of the MoU is entirely academic as both institutions aim to provide holistic development of students by conducting various awareness programmes, workshops, and seminars. 

The institute targets collaborative and joint works to organise minor and major sponsored research projects and publications, he said. 

As per the telegraph reports, the Integrated Institute of Advanced Research and Information (IIARI) is an organization in Kolkata, which mainly focuses on industry and market research, integrated studies and programme implementation. The ministry of micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) and the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) has also certified IIARI.
