Anna University Postpones UG, PG Semester Exams 2022 until March 5; Check Details Here


New Delhi: Anna University, Chennai, has postponed the upcoming UG and PG semester exams until March 5, 2022. The examinations were scheduled to be conducted from February 19, 2022. 

The authorities of the Anna University have informed that the decision was taken due to the local body elections in the state. 

Due to the local body election in Tamil Nadu to be held on February 19, the examinations scheduled for 19th February 2022 are rescheduled”, the official notification reads.

As per the directions of Chief Minister M K Stalin, the first, third and fifth- semester exams for arts and science and other students would be held online from February 1. The Second, fourth and sixth usually take place in June and chances are high that they may be conducted offline”, as stated by the Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy. 

Anna University Postponed Exams Guidelines:

The university website has also announced guidelines for the postponed examinations that are listed below:

  • The UG, PG semester exams will be conducted in take-home mode
  • The exam duration will be 3 hours
  • The exam patterns will remain the same before the COVID 19 pandemic

K Ponmudy further explained that the announcement to reopen colleges will not affect the decision to conduct the examinations in online mode. For the practical examinations, however, students need to be present at the centre. 

During the non-exam days, students are required to attend the regular classes and that is one of the primary reasons behind announcing the decision to reopen the colleges.
