Calicut University Admission 2021: Anti-Dowry Declaration Mandatory for UG, PG Admission; Details Here

Calicut University Admission 2021: As per the recent announcement, Calicut University has made the declaration of Anti Dowry mandatory for all students taking admission in the university as well as their parents.. 

In accordance with the circular released on September 15, 2021, the Vice-Chancellor of Calicut University has made the decision to include the Anti-Dowry Declaration in CU UG, PG Admission 2021 to prevent the increase in dowry deaths. 

Dowry deaths are related to domestic violence and demand for dowry, which leads to an increase in deaths among students. The university has strictly directed all stakeholders of the university not to demand or accept dowry. 

Those who have applied for Calicut University Admission 2021 will now have to submit the declaration in order to secure their admission seats. Students and parents who failed to submit the mandatory Anti-Dowry declaration will not be offered with admission seats in the university. 

During the CU UG, PG Program 2021 admission process, all interested students who have applied for the admission process will have to sign an undertaking that states that they will not demand or accept dowry directly or indirectly. 

As per the undertaking, the "dowry shall have the same meaning as in the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961", the university said. Failing to follow the instructions and mandatory steps will lead to admission cancellation of the students. 

The mandatory undertaking will be signed by both parents and students. Additionally, while filling out the mandatory undertaking, the stakeholders of the university will have to mention their name, aadhar card number as well as residential address. 

As for now, Calicut University has released the CU Admission Second Allotment List 2021 for both undergraduate and postgraduate program admission on September 13, 2021. The allotment list was released on the official website of the university at ugcap.uoc.in. 

Students of the university are now waiting for Calicut University Third Allotment List 2021 release. The list is expected to be out on September 23, 2021, for all interested candidates to check on the university website. 

After the release of the admission allotment list, the university will start the commencement of classes for all eligible candidates from September 30, 2021.
