Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam has commenced the round 1 of Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) counseling from October 9. The counseling will take place till October 15 in an online mode.
Assam PAT 2020 was held on October 3 in offline mode. The authority declared the result of the exam on October 7 on their official website. Candidates who managed to qualify the cut-off marks are eligible and required to participate in the counselling phase.

Assam PAT results in 2020 were declared by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of the state on October 7 at 2:30 PM. Following which, Assam PAT 2020 result was published on the official website, on October 8, 2020.
If a student fails to attend the counseling session, his/her seat gets canceled. The aspirants can go to dte.assam.gov.in to get the link for the counselling session.

Assam PAT 2020 Counseling: Steps to Register
Follow these steps to register for counselling:
- Visit the official website dte.assam.gov.in.
- On the right-hand side, click on the link to the counselling portal.
- On the portal, enter roll number and Date of Birth.
- Upload the asked documents.
- Fill up the preference of institutes or branches.
- Click on ‘Submit’.
- Download and take a print out of the registration.

Assam PAT 2020 Counseling: Documents Required for Registration
To attend the counselling process, candidates must register themselves on the counselling portal. Students must ensure submission of the following documents:
- Educational qualification certificate
- Date of birth (Age proof certificate)
- Caste/category certificate
- Assam PAT 2020 score
- PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate)
After the registration, the authorities will publish the list of branches assigned to the candidates. The candidates are required to fill the acceptance letter that says that the candidate accepts the branch allotted.
October 17 (till 5 pm.) is the last date to accept the allotted branches. It is declared that the classes will be started from October 20 in online mode until further notice.

Assam Polytechnic Admission Test is a state-level exam for admission to various polytechnic courses in various colleges of Assam. This year, the exam was conducted in offline mode for admission to Engineering and Technology Diploma courses.
The exam consists of 100 questions of the Science and Mathematics domain. It is conducted for 3 hours in an objective pattern (MCQs).
