Bangalore University: B.Com Final Year Question Paper Leaked; Exam Postponed, Check Details Here


Bangalore University has made the decision to postpone the final year B.Com exam of 'Principles and Practice of Auditing' which was scheduled to be conducted on October 12, 2020, at 2:00 PM.

According to the press reports, the decision was taken by the Bangalore University as the exam paper was leaked prior to the exam and was widely circulated on social media platforms.

Furthermore, the reports stated that the question paper was leaked around 12 PM on WhatsApp and other social media platforms, nearly 2 hours prior to the commencement of the examination.

Following which the university authorities decided to cancel the scheduled exam and postponed it to some other date. 

Exam Postponed for 40,000 Final Year Students 

Almost 40,000 final-year students from 700 affiliated colleges were scheduled to appear for the examination at 205 centres across the city. 

However, the varsity authorities postponed the scheduled exams to a revised date, after the paper leak incident. 

As per the reports, K R Venugopal, BU vice-chancellor had stated that the varsity officials have registered a complaint with the cybercrime police. 

The vice-chancellor informed that the varsity doesn't know where and how the leak happened, but the exam question papers were shifted to the exam centres in the morning of the exam day. 

Further, the paper leak could have happened at any time, as soon as the news emerged, information on postponement of the exam was passed on to the sitting squads at the exams within 1 PM, he said.

The final year B.Com exam was originally slated to be held on September 28, but was postponed, due to the Karnataka bandh.

However, the varsity officials informed that the revised date for the exam will be announced on the exam portal.

This was supposed to be the last exam for the UG students, but the postponement has left everyone disappointed.
