BHU Adopts CUET for UG Admission 2022; Information Bulletin Released

New Delhi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has recently stated that it will offer UG Admission 2022 through CUET. As per UGC, CUET is now mandatory for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities across the country. 

BHU has also issued an information bulletin for UG Admissions for the academic year 2022-23. According to which, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the BHU Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) 2022 on the official website cuet.samarth.ac.in. 

BHU UG admission 2022 information bulletin reads as follows:

“The BHU-UET 2022 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in. Admission will be based on the merit in the BHU-UET 2022 subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements of the Course for which the candidate has applied.”

Meanwhile, the registration process for Common University Entrance Test (CUET), has already begun on its official portal, cuet.samarth.nic.in. The last date to apply is now extended till May 22, 2022 (5 pm). As a fact, BHU UG Admission 2022 will be based on the candidate's performance in CUET, subject to the candidate meeting the course's eligibility requirements.

Students seeking admission in BHU UG courses have to meet certain eligibility criteria:

• Students must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in aggregate in relevant disciplines. 
• For admission in BA LLB, students must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent in relevant discipline. The candidates need to appear in the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) conducted by the university.
• To get admission in MBBS / BDS courses students must have scored at least 50% marks in 10+2 with PCB and English (40% for reserved categories). Minimum age for the general category candidate is 17 years and 5 years relaxation for reserved categories is provided. 

BHU UG Admissions 2022: Selection criteria 

Students for BHU UG Admissions 2022 are selected on the basis of below given criterion:

• Students for UG courses are selected on the basis of merit obtained in BHU UET.
• In MBBS or BDS courses, admission is offered when students have cleared the NEET exam. After which a student has to participate in MCC Counseling where they can choose BHU as their choice of university. 
• For B.Sc (Nursing), students are selected through NEET examination followed by the counseling.

For getting admission in BHU UG courses students have to follow below given steps:

Step-1 Visit the official website of the university. 

Step-2 students could find the application form on the website.

Step-3 Fill the application form with asked details and attach the required documents. 

Step-4 Submit the filled form and application fee (Rs.500)

Step-5 Students could download the filled form for future reference.
