BHU Introduces a New Research Programme For PhD Students; Check Details Here


New Delhi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has introduced a six-month External Research Experience for PhD students, which will contribute to developing high-quality research.

As per BHU, Researchers with a unique academic profile at the UG and PG levels, who have finished their coursework and have quality publications to their credit, are eligible to apply for the program.

Under this program, PhD candidates will have the chance to do research for one semester (six months) at a reputable university or research facility in India. In addition, they will have the opportunity to develop experimental, theoretical, or professional abilities. 

The plan will gain exposure to a diverse, multicultural, and competitive research environment, which will help them flourish academically and professionally.

In this scheme, the visiting research researcher will get a Rs 15,000 monthly maintenance allowance in addition to the standard fellowship.

"We expect our PhD students to conduct high-quality research for their dissertations and to prepare for upcoming hard projects. Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain, the vice-chancellor, remarked, "This program would enable them to conduct research in a diverse and multicultural atmosphere and get advantageous experience."

Prof. D.S. Pandey presides over the Sponsored Research Industrial Consultancy Cell (SRICC), which is in charge of administering the initiative as part of BHU's Institution of Eminence.
