BHU Organises Five Day National Workshop on Academic Integrity & Research Writing

New Delhi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is organising a five-day long National Workshop on Research Writing and Academic Integrity (RWAI 2023). The first day of the workshop began on January 31, 2023 (today) and it will end on February 4, 2023.

Earlier, senior officials of BHU declared that this workshop will be conducted in Dronacharya Karan Singh Hall by the Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Arts. The announcement was made during a meeting scheduled on January 30, 2023.

According to the official announcement, the primary objective of this workshop is to provide specialists in physical education with the most up-to-date recent advancements and developments in the field of research.

BHU National Workshop 2023 Key Highlights

Starting from January 31, 2023, this five-day webinar will include a total of 15 sessions. The event will be held from 9 am to 5 pm each day and it will cover a total of three sessions per day. The key discussion topic will be in the field of research methodology

At the BHU National Workshop 2023, the attendees will receive instruction on constructing a publication strategy on the first day, bibliometric evaluation (Impact and Visibility), research, and publishing ethics on the next two days. 

Sessions on writing results, discussion, reports and fundamentals of composing a research proposal will be included in the last two days. It will also offer an educational setting for gaining a fundamental and advanced understanding of research writing and academic integrity in sports sciences. 

Additionally, the workshop will improve research scholars' proficiency by revealing analytical knowledge and abilities to guarantee the calibre of their work, managerial capability to use statistical tools, evaluation of outcomes/findings, and utilization of findings for judgement.

The lectures and practical workshops will provide participants with useful instructions on how to create a well-structured research article using straightforward and verifiable methodologies for publication in a reputable journal.

As of now, about 300 interested candidates from various states across the country signed up for this national workshop. However, only 60 applicants have been registered for the workshop for quality control purposes.

This training session's keynote panellists include Professor Bhaskar Mukherjee from BHU's Department of Library and Information Science, Professor Yogesh Upadhyay, Dean of Jiwaji University's School of Studies in Management, and Dr Arun Kumar Deshmukh from BHU's Institute of Management Studies.

Dr Pradeep Singh Chahar, an assistant professor in Department of Physical Education is in charge of the event. The workshop was officially opened by the Chief Guest, Professor Ramesh Chand, Emeritus Professor, Advisor (University Advancement and Alumni Relations), BHU.
