New Delhi: Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) in collaboration with Penguin Random House has hosted the third edition of the annual BIMTECH Business Literature Festival 2023.
The two-day festival of BIMTECH was inaugurated by Bhupender Yadav, the Union Minister of Labour and Employment and Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and co-author of the book 'The Rise of the BJP: The Making of the World's Largest Political Party'.
Delivering his keynote address on the significance of literature in influencing and defining current business practice, the Chief Guest, Bhupender Yadav, said that" books play a significant part in establishing business modules".
Nowadays, the majority of best-selling books on personality development and books for various course curricula place an emphasis on inner wisdom and the individual journey, Yadav said.
festival brought together the most brilliant thinkers in the field for a series of open debates, reviews, workshops, panel discussions, and book releases. Publishing houses including Penguin Random House, Harper Collins, Kunzum Books, and Rupa Publications organised author book signings.
Authors from Tata Sons brand, Harish Bhat, author of #TataStories and TataLog, attended the festival.
Author Kiran Karnik, of Decisive Decade Wild Wisdom author Christine Amour-Levar, Mr. Bharat Wakhlu, founder of The Wakhlu Advisory TWA, The discussion was led by Parmesh Shahani, author of Queeristan: LGBTQ Inclusion in the Indian Workplace, founder of Godrej India Culture Lab, LGBTQ Inclusion consultant, and creator of Tata's Leadership Experiment, among others, who went ahead to the stage and engaged in discourse, sharing insights and experiences from innovation and entrepreneurship to corporate strategy and leadership.
According to Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, director of BIMTECH, reading is an essential element of academic life. Through this event, they have the chance to hear from the brightest business literary minds and absorb their ideas.
