BITS Pilani Collabs with CoinDCX for Research on Crypto in India


New Delhi: The Computer Science Department of BITS Pilani has partnered up with CoinDCX to conduct research on the development of Crypto amongst the Indian student community. This is in accordance with the Crypto education initiatives by CoinDCX to provide deeper understanding and including Crypto in India. 

BITS Pilani and CoinDCX Partnership Highlights:

As a result of the partnership between the Computer Science Department, BITS Pilani and CoinDCX, multiple research projects will be conducted on the fields of Blockchain and Crypto. Here are a few highlights of the collaboration:

  • Multiple projects on the vast fields of Blockchain and Crypto including Smart Contracts and DApps development
  • The joint collaboration will focus on specifically two areas- Blockchain Literacy and Research in Decentralised Systems
  • The projects will be supervised by the faculty assigned from BITS Pilani with expertise in the field of Research and Development along with CoinDCX’s technical professionals, specialised in the field of Blockchain Technology
  • Over the period of one year, more than 100 students are expected to be trained in this particular filed along with the preparation of educational materials in form of whitepapers on prescribed topics

While discussing the roles of Blockchain and Crypto, Sumit Gupta, CoinDCX CEO and Co-founder, has stated that these have significant roles in aiding the growing, digitally-inclined economy of India. Given the opportunity, this technology can bring forth enormous socio-economic changes in terms of the lives of people as well as business. 

Through our research partnership with the Computer Science Department at the Pilani Campus of BITS, we seek to advance crypto innovation in India and value-add to the country’s blockchain ecosystem, with academia as a critical enabler,” as stated by Mr. Gupta.

Dr. Amit Dua, Faculty-in-charge, Research for Collaboration with CoinDCX and Assistant Professor, Computer Science Department at BITS Pilani has also commented on the partnership. 

The research lab will help identify more use cases of blockchain and crypto and put India on the forefront of this fintech revolution. This partnership will help our students learn more about blockchain and crypto”, as said by Professor Dua.
