The teaching method combines classroom and experiential learning, including lab exercises, assignments, case analyses, and work-integrated activities. In addition, the programme employs a consistent assessment framework for systematic evaluation to offer working professionals prompt and frequent feedback on their progress.

Each one of the program's first, second, and third semesters includes four courses. The dissertation/project work covered in the fourth semester allows students to apply methods and concepts learned throughout the programme.

Prof. Anita Ramachandran, head of the computer science and information systems group at BITS Pilani WILP, stated, "Among other important characteristics, the programme provides a series of courses that help students comprehend the development and creation of cloud-native apps.

It will also assist students in designing and implementing a prototype of a cloud-native application or in migrating an existing system, as well as in understanding the ongoing lifecycle of an application's development, deployment, management, and operations.”

In addition to its worldwide influence, widespread Cloud adoption is expected to be among the most significant contributors to the Indian economy.

The National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) forecasts a potential $380 billion increase in the Indian GDP, with 14 million direct and indirect employment opportunities generated by 2026. The primary reasons likely to fuel this rise are an increasingly digital population and more digitalization.

BITS Pilani WILP has established this UGC-approved four-semester M.Tech. in Cloud Computing to enable engineers and managers in fields like Infrastructure Management, Data Centre Operations, Cloud Deployment, and Network Embedded Networks.

By studying this programme, IT professionals in technical jobs, such as DevOps Engineer, Systems Engineers, Network Administrators, and Cloud Services Engineers, as well as techno-managerial ones, such as Infrastructure Lead/Infrastructure Manager, will also gain considerable value.
