CEPT University Resumes On-Campus Classes After 9 Months Closure; Read Detail Here


January 06, 2021: CEPT University has reopened its campus after a gap of more than 9 months for students and faculty members. Mandatory and elective courses will be available online. The CEPT University campus space is reorganized to follow the COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing.

Detailed guidelines have been circulated to CEPT University students, faculty members, and staff to ensure adherence to the covid-19 guidelines. Over 1800 students have enrolled this semester and the university expects up to 400 students to attend college daily.

The 'CEPT Covid Team' is directed to monitor and keep active surveillance on the members who enter the CEPT University premises and penalize the one who is not following the COVID-19 guidelines.

Also, Faculty members are ordered to prepare studios (which comprise a major portion of the curriculum) that are either full-on campus, partial on-campus, or completely online. 

However, attending on-campus sessions are voluntary; also for students, parental consent is required to enter the campus.

Teaching and non-teaching staff will attend the CEPT University on alternate days. A digital entry control system checks the days on which particular students are allowed to enter the campus.

CEPT University Registrar Anita Hiranandani said,” It is great to see the students are faculty back on campus after such a long time”.

“We are committed to keeping the university environment safe for all who wish to attend sessions on campus. We are also quite hopeful that the rollout of vaccinations will help us come back to full strength in the coming months” he added.

Earlier, CEPT University was closed since march due to the pandemic and was strictly adhering to the nation-wide lockdown and the covid-19 guidelines. 

In October, the university conducted a survey that showed that the majority of the students preferred to attend the on-campus classes rather than the online. Following the feedback, the university started the preparations to reopen the university in a gradual manner.
