Central Seat Allocation Board has published CSAB 2020 Vacant seats for special round on the official website csab.nic.in. Candidates can now check the number of vacant seats in IITs, NITs and GFITs which were not filled during JoSAA Counselling 2020.
CSAB will hold a counselling process for admission in the remaining vacant seats after completion of all the JoSAA 2020 rounds.
The CSAB 2020 special vacant seats filling rounds will be conducted for NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs. The allotment of seats will be done based on marks obtained by the students in JEE Main 2020.
Students must register themselves for the seat allotment process to take part in CSAB 2020 counselling process at csab.nic.in. The registration process has started from November 17, 2020.
Candidates can apply for the CSAB 2020 registration process between November 17, 2020, and November 19, 2020. Only those students who will register would be considered for the allotment of the seat process.

Instructions for CSAB 2020 Round 1
Candidates can follow any one of the options mentioned below based on the outcome of Special Round-I;
A)
- Seat Acceptance (FREEZE/SLIDE/FLOAT) and Reporting at the Institute (OR)
- Surrender Seat Allotted and taking part in Next Round (OR)
- Surrender Seat Allotted and not Participating in Next Round (OR)
- Not allotted any seat at the completion of special round-I, and not wish to participate in the Special Round–I
B)
- Online reporting: Acceptance of Seat, along with Fee payment
- Uploading Documents for Verification / Response by the candidate to query (if required)

The process listed in (A) above is compulsory for all students who are allotted a seat in CSAB Special Round-I. While process (A) & (B) both are compulsory for only those students who are allotted a seat first time in CSAB Special Round-I
Central Seat Allocation Board holds the counselling for admission through three channels, including CSAB UT, CSAB NUET, and CSAB SFTI. The CSAB NUET registration process has already begun on October 23, 2020.
