The University of Delhi is yet to provide students with details about online registrations for undergraduate admissions and the Delhi University Entrance Test. However, according to reports, online registrations for admission for the year 2020-21 are likely to open on 20 June.
It also seems that this time there might not be any group discussions or personal interviews for admission to postgraduate courses at Delhi University. Students will be admitted on the basis of marks obtained in the DUET. Delhi University has also decided not to hold the sports trials which are held every year for extracurricular activities. Candidates will be admitted on the basis of certificates.
These decisions come in the light of the coronavirus pandemic. To maintain social distancing, Delhi University has considered allowing students to apply online after the cut-offs are declared. It would be prudent of students to keep an eye on the official website of Delhi University for regular updates.
Earlier on 9 June, Arun Kumar Attree, a member of the standing committee had said, “We expect the registration to start in around 10 days tentatively. The registration will be in two phases: first, students can register for admission and during the second phase, they can enter their marks. A ten-day window will be given to students after CBSE 12th results are declared and the cut-off is likely to come a week after that.”
