DU Releases Advisory for CUET Aspirants Seeking UG Admission

New Delhi: Delhi University has released an advisory for the Common Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 aspirants seeking undergraduate admissions. This advisory lets the student go through syllabi of different courses before choosing preferences on the university's admission portal.

This year, DU UG Admission 2023 will be based on the CUET UG 2023. Candidates will also have to fill the Common Seat Allocation System Undergraduate or CSAS UG 2023 form by visiting the portal @admission.uod.ac.in, where they have to give preference to programmes+college. According to DU, candidates occasionally choose DU programmes in order to get admission to a certain college, even when they lack the prerequisite skills or expertise for pursuing those programmes or fields of study.

For instance, having a basic knowledge or fluency in the specific language reading and writing could be a requirement for enrolling in some programmes linked to the language. Hence, the candidates are recommended to review the syllabus of all the Programs in which they desire to enter the University, if offered, before providing their preferences on the CSAS(UG) 2023 site, the university added.

DU UG Admission is based on individuals' preferences as well as their CUET merit score. According to DU, after admission is approved, a course's freeze upon submitting preferences cannot be modified while a student is enrolled in it.

Meanwhile, the latest reports reveal that a total of 168 universities from across the country have adopted CUET 2023 for admission to Undergraduate (UG) programs. The number of CUET UG participating colleges has increased since last year.

Due to an increase in participation from the universities, the exam authority has extended the last date to register for CUET UG 2023 till March 30, 2023. Earlier, the last date for submitting applications for the Common University Entrance Test (UG) was March 12, 2023.
