GITAM GAT-2022 Concluded, Admission Counselling Begins Today

New Delhi: GITAM deemed to be University has started the GITAM GAT 2022 counselling in online mode from today. GITAM GAT counselling 2022 will be conducted separately for all the phases.

Earlier, the GITAM All India Admission Test, (GAT 2022) was conducted as a computer based online Test between May 20 and 26, 2022 in across 83 exam centres. The results for the same were announced on May 27, 2022.

Prof D S Rao, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, GITAM, Hyderabad, announced that the phase-1 online admission counselling process has begun today. GITAM GAT 2022 is conducted for admission into all UG and PG courses of GITAM.

The students who appeared for the GAT 2022 can log in to the official portal @admissions.gitam.edu and check their GAT 2022 results available online. Besides, they can also check the Merit Scholarship status.

Prof D S Rao said around 25,000 candidates had appeared for GAT for admission into courses in various specialisations including Engineering, Architecture, Science, Pharmacy, Management, Law, Humanities and Social Sciences, Public policy, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Paramedical.

Further, Rao informed that GITAM Merit Scholarship 2022 will be based on the Score/Rank obtained in GAT – 2022. There are five categories of Merit scholarships, 100%, 75%,50%, 25%, 15%.

The B.Tech. students can also avail the scholarships based on their ranks in JEE Main-2022, EAPCET-2022 and EAMCET-2022 on a first come first served basis.

Meanwhile, the students, who appeared from Telangana State bagged 1410 Merit Scholarships out of 3000 Scholarships in Phase-1 GAT 2022, he added.

GITAM, Hyderabad Placements 2022

Speaking about the placements, Prof D S Rao said that the institute has achieved a 100% success rate with a total of 3,950 students (about 1,000 students from Hyderabad) securing successful placements through campus interviews during the academic year 2021-22.

Several MNCs in IT, service sector and core industry have recognised the high standards at GITAM, which had drawn their attention towards the campus every year, he concluded.

Candidates who will qualify the GITAM GAT final phase exam are eligible to participate in counselling for B.Tech admission at GITAM University.

Candidates who will be allotted seats through GITAM e-counselling 2022 will have to report for document verification and pay the requisite admission fee of GITAM GAT 2022.

The GITAM authorities will issue the GITAM GAT counselling 2022 letters based on their qualifying status in the entrance examination. Thus, candidates can download the GITAM GAT counselling letter to participate in the further counselling process.

Candidates must login using their credentials to download the GITAM GAT 2022 counselling call letter, after which they have to do the online registration and fill the choice of courses and colleges.

Further, the candidates will have to pay a non-refundable GITAM GAT 2022 counselling fee of INR 1000. Thus, candidates who wish to withdraw from admission later on will not be eligible to get a refund.

Post the payment, candidates will have to report to the centres for GITAM GAT counselling 2022 as per schedule. While reporting at GITAM counselling centres, they will have to carry certain documents in original as well as two sets of photocopies of the same for verification purposes.

GITAM GAT 2022 Counselling: Documents Required

Following documents are required to be submitted by the candidates during counselling. They can submit an original and one set of photocopies along with one passport size photograph.

10th class or Equivalent pass certificate
10+2 / Intermediate marks statement and Pass Certificate
Transfer and Conduct Certificates
Medical Certificate from Civil Surgeon (in case of PH Candidates)
Integrated Community Certificate (in case of SC/ST)

When a seat is allotted to the candidate after GITAM GAT counselling 2022, they will have to report at the allotted institute for payment of admission fee and other basic formalities. Those who do not complete the due procedure within the time frame may lose their GITAM GAT seat allotment 2022.
