Gujarat University to Conduct Separate Examinations for Students Affected by COVID-19


Gujarat University will be conducting another annual exam for COVID-Affected students from October 26, 2020 to November 5, 2020.

GU Gujarat University - [GU], Ahmedabad took the initiative to conduct a special annual exam for the students affected by Covid-19 disease. Around 825 students have registered for the special exam for which 23 faculties are involved in preparing the questions from 350 subjects.

The result for the special annual exams will be announced by the end of November 2020. The university proposed the special exam because many students were either affected from the disease or lived inside the containment zone and were unable to commute on the day of examination.

The University has completed the annual examination for the UG and PG courses from September 30 to October 10, 2020. The exam involved 19 courses relating to BBA, BCA, MCOM and LLB and 3,000 students appeared for the exam.

The university used both online and offline modes to conduct the annual examination. First phase of online examination was completed on October 8, 2020. About 6,000 students registered for the examination for the online exam. The second round of the annual exam was conducted in offline mode from October 10, 2020.

Amidst the pandemic situation, the university had to conduct two rounds of offline exams to avoid the gathering of people and the rest of the applicants registered for online exams.

The University is yet to make a final decision on conducting the external exams either online or offline.
