Gujarat University to revoke the option of Offline Pen and Paper based exams


Gujarat University has announced that it will be withdrawing the option for students who chose to appear for the UG and PG annual examinations in pen and paper method.

The UG and PG exams at Gujarat University were scheduled to be conducted in the latter part of August. However, since the Unlock 3 guidelines for the state had been recently declared by the government, the educational institutions have been directed to remain closed till August 31.

Exams for UG and PG courses were to be conducted by the university across various centers spanning 13 districts from August 21-31. The notification, however, states that this decision will not alter the examination schedule for students pursuing medical and paramedical courses.

The university had given the students an option to choose whether they want to appear for exams in offline or online mode. The university has stated that any decision regarding offline exams will be taken in September after the reception of new Unlock guidelines. 

The examinations for sixth semester UG students as well as fourth semester PG students are to be held in MCQ format. The UGC guideline also stated that the examinations for the final semester as well as terminal semester students are to be concluded for all universities by September end.
