IGNOU Launched BA in Applied Sanskrit Program; Check Details Here

New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University, School of Gender and Development Studies has launched a three-year Bachelor of Arts in Applied Sanskrit in Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode.

As per IGNOU, students who wish to apply for admission to BA in Applied Sanskrit have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent are eligible to apply for the admission process.

Nageshwar Rao, the vice chancellor, introduced the programme. Both Prof. Dinesh Chandra Shastri and Prof. Murli Manohar Tripathi, vice chancellors of the Uttarakhand Sanskrit University in Haridwar and the Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University in Delhi, were present at the ceremony. The program's goal is to familiarize and equip pupils with the Sanskrit language. The programme lasts for three years and is only available in Hindi.
