New Delhi: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun the application process for a 36-hour free professional development programme on the implementation of the national education policy (NEP) 2020. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal @ignou-nep-pdp.samarth.ac.in. 

The IGNOU has notified the application form is meant for university and college teachers. Candidates seeking admission to the program can submit their applications till the deadline which is not yet announced by the institute. The application can be submitted at the official website @ignou-nep-pdp.samarth.ac.in

The programme will have a duration of 36 hours of training which is equal to a six-day short-term professional development programme. However, the total time duration for a specific batch is 12 days.

Candidates seeking Admission into this Programme will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria mentioned below. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved this programme for any higher education permanent, part-time, or temporary teacher free of cost.

• Any teacher of any Higher Education Institute in India can register and participate in this programme. 
• For this, they will have to register at the Samarth-NEP portal (https://ignou-nep-pdp.samarth.ac.in) by uploading the Institution I-Card or copy of the recommendation letter issued by the Head of the Institution, recent photograph, and scanned signature.

The programme will be useful for API, CAS and other career advancement requirements specified by UGC. The participants will receive a digital certificate after securing a minimum of 50% marks on the online test. 

IGNOU Professional Development Programme Admission 2023: How to Apply? 

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of the ASB @ignou-nep-pdp.samarth.ac.in.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id, etc.

Step 3: Select the nearest IGNOU regional centre

Step 4: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form and Verify details and upload necessary documents

Step 5: Pay the application fee of INR 1000 and submit the Application form. 

Step 6: Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
