New Delhi: IIIT Hyderabad’s annual R&D Showcase will be conducted on Saturday, March 12, 2022. The showcase will be available physically on the institute campus and on the metaverse for the very first time. NextMeetLive, one of CIE at IIIT Hyderabad’s Avishkar accelerator startups, will host the showcase on the metaverse.
This year’s IIIT Hyderabad R&D Showcase theme is ‘Tech-away-Accelerating the Future’, especially the technology orbitshifts stimulated by seminal life-altering emergency events such as the COVID pandemic in the metaverse.

The annual R&D showcase focuses on the spirit of Research and Development where both the faculty and students share their work with the interested visitors or students for the purpose of promoting applied research that contributes to the overall growth of the society.

This year’s showcase includes roundtable discussions on Quantum Science & Technology, Cyber Physical Convergence. Additionally, there will be discussions on the following topics:
- Research product possibilities
- Research related startup demos
- 600 research demos from IIIT Hyderabar’s 28 research centres
- A summary showcase
The inaugural keynote speech will be given by Vinod K Nandicoori, Director, CCMB. His speech will focus on how research is integral to the present and future world.
