IIIT-Hyderabad BTech Admission 2022 under DASA Open; Appy till May 22


New Delhi: IIIT-Hyderabad is currently accepting applications for the B.Tech program under Direct Admissions for students abroad (DASA). The online application portal opened on March 7, 2022, and the last date of submission is on May 22, 2022.

Candidates’ ranking will be decided and admission granted on the basis of SAT scores. However, the essay part is not required. The test scores should be sent directly to the IIIT-Hyderabad by the College on or before May 22, 2022. Applicants should also not have appeared for the SAT exam before May 2020. 

In case of a tie in overall SAT score, marks acquired in the evidence-based reading and writing section and in math will be taken into consideration. If the tie is not yet broken, then both students will be awarded the same rank and treated accordingly.

IIIT-Hyderabad BTech DASA 2022: How to Apply

Candidates are required to follow the steps mentioned below in order to apply for admission into the B.Tech program under DASA category.

Step 1: Visit the admissions page on the website

Step 2: Click on the tab for ‘Direct Admissions for Study Abroad’

Step 3: A new page will be displayed which will have the link to the Application Form 

Step 4: Enter personal and previous academic details. Also, indicate preferences for programs listed in the application portal.

Step 5: Submit the application form and pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 6000/-

IIIT-Hyderabad BTech DASA 2022: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should go through the following parameters before applying for B.Tech through DASA - 

  • Applicants should have secured a minimum aggregate score of 1070 (out of 1600) in SAT.
  • Students applying for this program should have successfully completed XI and XII or equivalent with math, physics, and chemistry.
  • They should hold a foreign passport

Candidates who are allotted a seat should confirm the acceptance of the seat by paying the tuition fee for one semester(USD 7000).
