CAT 2020 Registration started: Check Changes Introduced, Eligibility, Exam Centers and Process

CAT 2020 Application process has commenced on the official website iimcat.ac.in from August 5 onwards. Candidates can fill the form till September 16, 2020 (till 5 pm). The exam is scheduled to take place on November 29, 2020 as a computer based test in 156 cities across India.

• Aspirants appearing or having passed graduation with minimum 50% marks are eligible to appear for CAT. 

• CAT Form correction window will open in the last week of August where candidates can make changes in uploaded images. 

• CAT Admit Card will be released on October 28, 2020 and will be available till exam day.

• Official mock test facility will also be provided by the conducting body from October 16, 2020

Changes in CAT 2020 Registration

• CAT 2020 Application fee has been increased across all categories: an increase of INR 100 for general category and INR 50 for reserved categories.

• Candidates are now allowed to choose 6 exam center preferences in place of 4. Check Complete list of Exam Centers

How to Apply for CAT 2020?

Students can fill the CAT Registration form by following the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of CAT i.e. iim.cat.ac.in

• Click on the ‘register’ tab and create login credentials by entering the details.

• Now Re-Login the form and enter the Details such as personal details, Academic Qualification, Work Experience, Test Center, Programmes

• Complete the Fee Payment Procedure.

• At last download and take the print out of the payment receipt.

• Candidates need to first create the Unique ID and Password.

• Provide a Valid Number which is mentioned in the candidate’s email address as all the information will be received from this number only.

• Candidates must fill the sections which are mandatory in the form. 

• Once the form filling process is concluded then payment is to be done as per the applicant’s category through debit/credit/net banking.

• There is no chance to change or edit the application form filling process once the payment is done.
