New Delhi: As per the latest updates, IIM Udaipur’s Incubation Center hosts the first book series launch of its Global Tech Community titled, "Finding Humans in Tech". The event was held at IIM Udaipur campus ground in the presence of industry leaders and experts.
As per IIM Udaipur, the tech community connects over 500 innovators, scientists, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and change-makers within one single platform. It explores the use of tech for humanity and shares exceptional journeys of people across the globe.
The Global Tech Community was inaugurated by the IIT Udaipur Incubation Team and Prof. Ashok Banerjee, Director of IIM Udaipur. While addressing the community, the team urged the audience to take a step towards entrepreneurship.
The event was held in the presence of Mr Rajeev Gupta, CEO/Founder of Resource Development International, IIT BHU & IMT-Ghaziabad Alumni and Mrs Richa Sharma, Co-founder of CurryiT, IIMU 2014 Alumni, Ex-Director of Bertelsmann and ex-VP of Yes Bank.
Dr L. Fimate, Director (rtd.) RIMS-Imphal and ZMC-Aizawl, FIAFM, WHO Fellow along with prominent international members Adonis Simo, Tech Product Manager at Workbud and Member of OSS Cameroon, and Anna Olizarivska, Clubhouse Icon, Ukrainian Anti-war Activist were also present at the event.
During the event, the “Finding Humans in Tech’s Social Entrepreneurship Award 2023” was awarded to the spirited entrepreneur, Nelly Cheboi by the institute. She is currently the CEO/Co-Founder of TechLit Africa, from Kenya. Nelly Cheboi has won many awards for her work, which includes CNN Hero of the Year Award 2022. She has also been listed in Forbes’ “30 under 30”. Following this achievement, her venture will be featured on a book series cover. In addition to this, Hanna Adeyema, Co-founder of Tenacity Health and Director of MIT Bootcamps, MIT Sloan School of Management joined the tech community event. Speaking on this occasion, she shared her experience as a part of the community with the audience.
