IIT Delhi Organised 4th Edition of Industry Day 2022 on December 10


New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi organised its fourth edition of industrial day on December 10, 2022. The event was attended by executives from around 15 corporate businesses and business houses, as well as scientists, faculty members, research scholars, and students from IIT Delhi.

As per IIT Delhi, the industry day event focused on four major themes, which are healthcare, electric vehicles, communication technology, clean energy, and the environment. These areas are in accordance with India's commitment to achieving its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Talking about the event, IIT Delhi, Dean of Corporate Relations, and Research and Development, Sunil Kumar Khare said, "The themes and technologies chosen this year reflect the needs and perspectives of our internal and external research communities".

He further added that these themes aim to foster industry and academic collaboration to create an impact among the various stakeholder communities. During the event, the participants debated problems and look at the potential for innovation in the specified subjects.

At the event, IIT Delhi had the opportunity to present more than 70 developed technologies on the aforementioned themes throughout the day-long event. Among the technologies on display is an artificial intelligence-based portable device for quick epilepsy detection.

Additionally, military personnel's clothing for extremely cold climates, electric vehicle power converters, a hand exoskeleton for paralysed people, recyclable syringes for wastewater treatment, and electric vehicle technologies were also displayed on an industrial day.

A total of 150 concept posters made by IIT Delhi students that are pertinent to the industry were displayed on this occasion. Former IIT-D student and executive vice president and chief technology officer of Tata Consultancy Services, K Ananth Krishnan was present as the event's special guest.

Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, said, "We have a variety of means of contact with industry. We are eager to strengthen our ties with businesses, contribute to producing graduates who are prepared for the future, and give businesses a competitive edge through our research. We encourage businesses to consider partnering with us at this event.
