IIT Delhi Organises Orientation Workshop on Unnat Bharat Abhiyan on Feb 21

New Delhi: IIT Delhi has recently organised a special orientation workshop for participating institutes under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme of Ministry of Education. The orientation program was held at the Research and Innovation Park on February 21, 2023. 

As per IIT Delhi, the program witnessed participation from approximately 3,500 participating institutions from around the country under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. The orientation event was attended by Regional Coordinating Institution NCR region participating institutions.

The program was inaugurated by Prof Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, in the presence of Varun Vidyarthi, Founder and CEO, Manavodaya; Prof VK Vijay, National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and Gajanan Dange, President of Yojak among other attendees. 

Addressing the event, Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi shared his views on the scheme and stated that with the help of this initiative, students will be able to make better changes. The event was held on February 21, 2023 through virtual mode from 9.00 AM onwards. 

The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan's mission was explained by Prof. VK Vijay, National Coordinator for the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan explained the scheme's goal with the attendees and shared the achievements.

He emphasised the value of community interaction and creativity. He further stated how important the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is to the inclusive development of villages.

The workshop's keynote speaker, Sh. Varun Vidyarthi has extensive field experience and has worked there for a long time. He discussed his fieldwork challenges and several true accounts of difficulties and solutions.

Yojak President Dr Gajanan Dange joined the session in online mode and provided the necessary functioning methods for the field. All coordinators of Participating Institutes were present at the program and contributed towards the achievement of the scheme's objectives.
