New Delhi: Indian Institutes of Technology, Delhi has successfully begun the placement season for the academic year 2022–2023, where it recorded more than 50 students securing lucrative job offers worth crores.
Recently, the campus placement process at IIT Delhi began on December 1, and at the end of the very first day, a total of 650 full-time job offers had been made, of which 550 were unique job selections, including more than 250 pre-placement offers (PPOs).

More than 50 students have accepted offers from within India with CTCs over Rs. 1 crore, whereas 20 students have received job offers abroad from countries like Hong Kong, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. However, some of the students chose to have preferred domestic offers over those from abroad.
Over 800 job profiles across several sectors are currently being offered by over 400 national and international organisations that have registered to hire students at the IIT Delhi Placements 2022.
Several students have also grabbed multiple placement offers. In comparison to the previous year, there has been a 20% increase in the number of job offers received.
Some of the top recruiters on day one were American Express, Bajaj Auto, Boston Consulting Group, Enphase Solar Energy, Intel, Praxis Global Alliance, and Strategy&.
This year, the institute has decided to conduct the hiring processes in both physical and virtual modes depending on the recruiter’s convenience. Further, the campus placement period is scheduled to span from December to May 2023.
At IIT Delhi, the recruiting companies are scheduled to conduct their hiring processes that maximises the distribution of recruiters and ensures a good mix of industries on each day, giving them plenty of time to make the best hiring decisions possible.
Meanwhile, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur and IIT Guwahati have also recorded their students receiving full-time job offers of above 1 crore from international and national companies on the first day.
While IIT Kanpur received 519 job offers, including 207 pre-placement offers (PPOs) and 33 international job proposals of more than Rs 1 crore, IIT Guwahati secured more than 760 offers, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and 16 international packages of Rs. 2.6 crore CTC and IIT Kharagpur secured two international offers of Rs 2.4 crore.
