IIT Guwahati BioNEST Hosted Second Edition of Kickstart 2.0 Industry Conclave

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati BioNEST has successfully hosted the second edition of its "Kickstart 2.0" industry conclave on February 14 and 15, 2023. The event was organised to help startups from across the country by promoting their business. 

As per IIT Guwahati, the Kickstart 2.0 Industry Conclave's main goal is to explore business in North East India and avenues for market creation, technology transfer and product commercialisation. It also aims to promote the market reach and business of startups. 

The key highlights of IIT Guwahati Industrial Conclave 2023 include one-to-one interaction with investors and accelerators, meeting with industry stalwarts from India and abroad for North East opportunities and interaction with Indian Army for technology adaption and product deployment.

Informing about the event, the official website reads, "The conclave is tailor-made for Start-ups, Aspiring Entrepreneurs, SMEs and MSMEs to interact with Industry Stalwarts, Seasoned Accelerators and Judicious Investors to Meet, Interact, Connect, and Expand”.

“Participate and leverage the golden opportunity to explore new markets for your product/services, expand your business and redefine your product development efforts”, the website further added. 

For this year’s edition, the institute organised its industry conclave on Healthcare, Aquaculture and Agritech, Industrial Biotech, Digital Solutions/IoTs, Renewable Energy and sustainability among other themes. 

Speaking on this occasion, Siddharth Singh, IAS, IHIDMS, Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Assam shared that there is a need for technologies and innovations in the field of healthcare accessibility and organising patient load at hospital OPDs. 

The conclave hosted India's top 20 investors such as Hyderabad Angels, Mumbai Angels, GenVantage, and Dextor Angel among others. Over 80 startups from across India joined the event and presented their products to investors, healthcare providers and enablers.
