New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has successfully concluded its placements for the academic session 2022-23 for the department of CSE for the BTech programme. The number of PPOs received for the BTech placements was 218, which was the highest in the previous four years.
During the IIT Guwahati Placements, the highest pre-placement offer was recorded at INR 1.20 crore. According to the institute reports, the phase 1 of placements recorded 919 offers with the highest offer of Rs 2.4 crore, which was the all-time high bids.
Most of the BTech CSE enrolled students at IIT-Guwahati have been placed with an average placement rate of 96% over the past five years. As per the institute, this is in spite of an increase in annual student enrollment. In the last five years, the number of BTech CSE registered students increased from 84 to 108.
In addition, the average CTC for BTech CSE students has been rising every year from 28 to 41 LPA (lakh per annum). The highest package for BTech CSE students is often over Rs 1.2 crore, and this year's highest package stood at Rs 2.4 crore.

Google, Rubrik, Infurnia, Cohesity, Thoughtspot, Alphagrep, Goldman Sachs, Apple, Amazon, Rakuten, Square Point, Accenture, IBM, Uber, Bajaj, Shimizu, Reliance, Axis, American Express, BNY Mellon, Axis, ICICI, Bank of America, Microsoft, Cisco and Samsung are some of the premiere recruiters.
Remarkably, a lot of MNCs are accepting other branches as well because of the calibre of academic preparation received by IIT Guwahati students. Several students have taken minors in various disciplines, which is beneficial for their placements.
IIT Guwahati Placements 2023: Packages and Offers for Internships
Over the years, the institute has been witnessing a tremendous increase in the number of internship offers fot different disciplines, including CSE. This increasing trend is also reflected in the increased number of PPOs.
The average internship offered for students of BTech CSE is around 81. The highest package for internship in the year 2022-23 for the students of BTech CSE at IIT Guwahati was recorded at Rs 7.5 lakh.
