New Delhi: IIT Guwahati's Electronics and Information, Communication Technology (E&ICT) Academy and ed-tech company Veranda Learning Solutions Limited have partnered to offer a variety of technical and managerial courses and programmes for upskilling.
According to the official announcement by IIT Guwahati, these courses will offer individualised career coaching, mentorship, and support and will be co-taught by subject matter experts. Each of these new courses will include case studies, practical exercises, and simulations.
With the help of the E&ICT Academy IIT Guwahati, the Veranda higher-education team performed a quick research with company chiefs, middle management leaders, and early professionals to determine the level of upskilling necessary and identify the skills that are lacking.
The findings show that professional skills in areas like product management, digital business management, supply chain and logistics management, and business analytics will be in high demand in the upcoming years.
In order to generate a pool of qualified human resources in growing fields, Brand Edureka and the E&ICT Academy IIT Guwahati have joined forces to co-design specialised courses in Product Management, Supply Chain & Project Management, and Digital Business Management in emerging domains.
Aditya Malik, head – Higher Ed, Veranda Learning Solutions said that the analysis indicated that the talent gap is real, and it is vital to close this gap so that organisations may develop.
Each course will be directed by the extensive knowledge provided by the E&ICT Academy at IIT Guwahati and the Edureka brand, and it will provide career advancement and further skill development in line with demands from business and industry.
According to Prof. Gaurav Trivedi, head of the E&ICT Academy at IIT Guwahati, these skills are essential to strengthen India's workforce as the world quickly transitions to a digital economy. Upon successful completion of the programme, the course participants will receive certification from the E&ICT Academy IIT Guwahati.
