IIT ISM Dhanbad MBA Business Analytics Admission 2021 to Begin for Second Batch; Read Details Here

IIT ISM Dhanbad: The first of its kind, technical and management training course MBA in Business Analytics is offered at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT ISM) Dhanbad. The Institute is ready to start the admission process of the second batch of MBA Business Analytics program.

IIT ISM Dhanbad launched the business analytics program to cater to the growing demands of training in analytics among the student community and increasing employability in related sectors. 

Saumya Singh, head of the management department of the institute, stated that the brand IIT and its strength in technical education is an advantage and a perfect fit of strength and opportunities.

MBA Business Analytics program was launched last year and has witnessed amazing responses from the aspirants, especially from experienced professionals. 

From the admission committee of IIT ISM Dhanbad, Shashank Bansal stated that they have received a great response from the students.

Additionally, the current Business Analytics batch comprises students who are recent graduates with more than 3 years of experience and many are also from premier institutions like NITs.

The students can only get admitted through the  Common Admission Test (CAT) scorecard and candidates who have B.Tech degrees in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with at least 60 per cent aggregate marks or 6 out of 10 CGPA are eligible for admissions.

Currently, IIT ISM Dhanbad offers 30 seats in Business Analytics, and the tuition fee of the program is around INR 75,000 per semester for the general category students. 

IIT ISM Dhanbad MBA Business Analytics: Course Highlights 

The two -year MBA in business analytics program includes eleven core courses in the first and second semesters. The candidate has to select a specialization paper from the basket of electives. 

Registered students will then undergo industrial training for six weeks at the end of the second semester. The student has to work on a dissertation/ industry-sponsored project for the partial fulfilment of the program in the third semester.

IIT ISM Dhanbad Department of management studies, department of computer science and engineering, and department of management studies support the program.

Students will get an enriched learning experience as faculty of all departments are experienced in their respective fields, stated Niladri Das from the admission committee.

Das stated that various companies in the domain of manufacturing, production, research firms, consultancy, engineering, and others have linked up with the institute to share several benefits. 

He added that this will enable students to exchange business success, research ideas, and skills & facilities to innovate.
