IIT Kanpur Invites Applications for Hackathon; Check Details Here


New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-KStartup )'s Incubation and Innovation Center (SIIC) has begun accepting applications for "Hack and Reboot 2.0." The deadline to apply for the IITK hackathon is December 18, 2022. The IIT Kanpur outreach centre in Noida will host the pitch demonstrations.

The "MVP grant" will be awarded to the hackathon winners; first place will receive Rs 7 lakh, second place Rs 6 lakh, and third place Rs 5 lakh. Every year, a nationwide hackathon is held by IIT Kanpur with the goal of giving young engineering students, inventors, and start-ups a platform to show off their ingenuity and innovation.

The event will give attendees a forum to communicate with SIIC innovators and professionals who have made contributions to academia, industry, and engineering resource and development. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is sponsoring the hackathon as part of the Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) 2.0 programme.

Technology startups working in new technologies will receive financial and technical help from "Hack and Reboot 2.0." Under the TIDE 2.0 initiative, the chosen parties in the healthcare and clean energy fields will receive a prototype fund.

The event will provide individualised guidance and portfolio help for resolving issues. The participants will have access to the infrastructure, mentorship, and industry connections of IIT Kanpur, as well as opportunities for physical incubation at SIIC, IIT-K.
