New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has launched a new online master's degree program (eMasters Program) in Sustainable Construction Practices and Project Management.
As per IIT Kanpur, the Department of Civil Engineering has created this new online PG program to meet the demands of India's booming infrastructure and construction industries. The program is created by faculty from IIT Kanpur and industry specialists.

According to a release from IIT Kanpur, India's modernization rate is expected to rise from its present rate of roughly 35% to 50% in just a few years, making the necessity of sustainable construction techniques critical.
The curriculum, according to the institution, seeks to provide working civil engineers as well as architects the information and abilities they need to operate tasks effectively while consuming the minimum amount of energy and resources possible.
Referring to this initiative, Abhay Karandikar, Director of IIT Kanpur, stated that the program will assist in strengthening the building and infrastructure areas with improved security and environmentally friendly practices.
He shared, "This program, along with the other diverse eMasters degree programs we successfully offer to support India's overall progress, is created to offer a suitable balance of scientific insights and industry abilities to satisfy the expanding demands of this sector that are expanding quickly."
The IIT Kanpur eMasters Program 2023 will cover a variety of subjects, like environmentally friendly architecture and design, green building components, project management, and funding for sustainable projects.
IIT Kanpur's executive-friendly degree programs offer executives a convenient way to finish the degree in between one and three years. The degree program, which was authorised by the Senate, includes a campus tour to IIT Kanpur, career guidance and mentoring.
