IIT Kharagpur Collaborates with AIIHPH to offer NPTEL Certification Course


New Delhi: B.C Roy Multi-Speciality Medical Research Centre, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur have collaborated with the All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health (AIIHPH) to offer National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) online certification course in Health Promotion and Medical Intervention.

IIT Kharagpur Collaborates with AIIHPH to offer NPTEL Certification Course

IIT Kharagpur and AIIHPH will offer the online certification course as an 8-week-long programme online. The class will commence on July 25 and end on September 16, 2022. Candidates can give an optional examination for receiving the certificates.

Candidates seeking admission to the course, on successfully passing the average assignment score, will get E-certificates which will have the candidate’s name, photograph and the score acquired in the final exam along with score distribution. It will have the logos of NPTEL and IIT Kharagpur.

NPTEL Certification Course: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the course here: 

  • Candidates who are graduates of health sciences and students.
  • Those who have completed their post-graduate (medical) in Epidemiology, Health Promotion, Community Medicine, and Public Health, can pursue this online course.
  • The course is also open to post-graduate nursing students, students from allied disciplines, and Medical Officers also, who are involved in the Public Health system. 

The instructors of the NPTEL certification course are Dr Sweety Suman Jha and Dr Arista Lahiri, medical faculty at IIT Kharagpur, Dr Madumita Dobe, former director professor and head of the Department of Health Promotion and Education, All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata and Dr Chandrashekhar Taklikar, head of the Department of Health Promotion and Education, All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata.
