IIT Kharagpur Law Admission 2022: Shortlisted Candidates List for Interview Announced; Check Interview Dates

New Delhi: IIT Kharagpur has released the shortlisted candidates list interview for LLB & LLM Program Admission 2022. The interview session is scheduled to be conducted from May 2 to May 6.

IIT Kharagpur will release the exact interview slot for each candidate through email. The law entrance examination was conducted on April 03, 2022 for admission to UG, PG law courses - LLB, LLM for the academic year 2022-23.

IIT Kharagpur Law Admission 2022: Interview Details

For LL.B. and LL.M. Entrance Examination 2022, the online personal interview will start on a date which will be announced later. The interview for LLB and LLM Admission will be conducted for the candidates who will qualify in the Computer Based Test (CBT). 

Each day, the interview will start at 9:30 AM and will continue till 6:30 PM. Separate notice on the reporting time and the online meeting link will be issued later.

It is advisable that each student joins the online interview using a computer with a stable internet connection that can stream its own video during the interview.

Furthermore, students must note that joining via mobile phone should preferably be avoided. Students are directed to strictly follow the time slots that will be given to them and have their own admit cards ready during the online interview. They are required to share the same on screen for verification.

IIT Kharagpur Law Admission 2022: Evaluation Parameters

The following are the evaluation parameters in the personal interview stage.

LL.B. (30 Marks)

For the “Interest in pursuing the course” criteria: Students will be assessed on their career goals, how the degree will improve their future plans and the expectations therein.

While for “Legal Aptitude” criteria: Situation based questions may be asked. Students will be evaluated based on their ability to analyze the situation in a structured manner based on logic

LL.M. (30 Marks)

For the “Interest in pursuing the course” criteria: Students will be assessed on their career goals, how the degree will improve their future plans and the expectations therein.

While for “Legal Aptitude” criteria: Students will be asked questions on current legal affairs. Students will be evaluated based on their legal awareness and insight.
