New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has begun its placement process for the final-year students for the academic session 2022-23, where it recorded a total of 760 offers, including 16 international offers and pre-placement offers (PPOs), being made to the students.
According to the latest reports, the highest international package offered to the IIT Kharagpur student at the end of Day 1 was more than Rs 2.6 crore.

Congratulating all the students on their accomplishments, the Chairman of the CDC, Professor A Rajakumar, thanked the participating recruiters for their close relationship with IIT Kharagpur.
The institute said that the placement session 2022-23 (Phase-I) at IIT Kharagpur, which began on December 1, 2022, excelled in both the hybrid and physical modes.
A total of 34 companies participated in the IIT KGP placement process, which included Apple, Airbus, Alphagrep, Capital One, EXL Services, Google, Graviton, Microsoft, Rubrik, Square Point, and others.
On the first day of the placement session, there were more than 70 job profiles available to the students. The employment in software, analytics, finance, technology, consulting, and core were available to students at IIT Kharagpur.
This year, IIT Kharagpur has received over 800 internship offers. This year's IIT KGP internship selection process received applications from over 140 companies from a variety of sectors, including software, analytics, consulting, finance, and banking, signalling a strong start to the coming season.
Meanwhile, IIT Bombay started placements for this season on December 2, 2022. On the first day of the IIT Bombay placement drive, a total of 250 job offers were made, with over 175 of them being accepted.
As many as 46 companies conducted in-person or online interviews with the students. The Phase 1 of IIT Bombay placement will continue until December 15, 2022. According to the latest reports, more than 300 companies are expected to participate in the drive.
Around 300 pre-placement offers were made during the institute's placement drive, of which 194 were accepted. IIT Bombay hosted 46 companies for in-person or online interviews with applicants on the first day of placements. Over 175 of the 250 employment offers made on Day 1 were accepted, according to a press release from IIT-B.
On the first day of placements, the students from IIT Bombay were hired by companies including Accenture Solutions, Airbus India, Microsoft India, Morgan Stanley, McKinsey, Procter & Gamble, Qualcomm, Shell India, Texas Instruments, Tata Steel, etc.
