IIT Kharagpur to offer Certification Course in Business Analytics and AI in Collaboration with Virginia Tech Collaborates

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has recently collaborated with Virginia Tech, United States to offer an online course in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence for the academic session 2022-23.

Under this collaboration, IIT Kharagpur and Virginia Tech will jointly offer certificate programs in the field of business analytics for a duration of nine months. The program is scheduled to commence from May 30 to January 07, 2023.

Talking about the initiative, IIT-K officials stated that this collaboration aims to prepare the students of the institute in the field of analytical talent. Through the IIT Kharagpur Program, students will learn about the demands of today's business & market.

"With an interdisciplinary approach under NEP 2020, the program helps to identify the utility in data and develop innovative thinkers providing effective solutions that benefit the immediate community and the world with the ease of living in a data-driven world," the release read.

As per IIT-K, interested graduates, industry executives, entrepreneurs, and students can apply for the online certificate program under IIT Kharagpur Admission 2022 by submitting their applications for the same on the institute's official website at erp.iitkgp.ac.in.

After the application process, the institute will select 100 applicants on the basis of their academic profile and working experience for the program. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to learn from experienced IIT Kharagpur Faculty members.

Referring to the program, Prof V K Tewari, Director, IIT Kharagpur said, "This collaboration in business analytics and AI will encourage future leaders of transformative technology and engage them to think entrepreneurially".

"Structured as well as unstructured data i.e, the Big Data is growing significantly faster in rows and columns. In the long term, the explainable artificial intelligence and automation will help in solving long-pending legal cases" he further added.
