IIT Placement Drive Ongoing at Delhi, Bombay & Kanpur Campus; Highest Package Stood at INR 4 Crore

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is currently organising the placement drive for students at Delhi, Bombay and Kanpur Campuses. So far, three students from IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and II Kanpur have received offers with salary packages up to INR 4 Crore.

Students from IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur and IIT Bombay who joined the placement drive have bagged the highest pre-placement offers from various recruiters at INR 4 Crore and 25 students from IIT Madras received a salary package of over INR 1 Crore per annum.

As per the officials, the highest offer so far has been made by global proprietary trading firm Jane Street for an international posting. Microsoft, Graviton, Flipkart, Texas Instruments and Bajaj Auto are among the top recruiters who offer positions to students of IIT Madras.

Additionally, placement offers were made by Bain and Company, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, JP Morgan Chase & Co, P&G, Optiver, Morgan Stanley, and McKinsey during IIT Madras Placement Drive 2022.

The institute has recorded a total of 445 offers (including pre-placement offers (PPOs) for the 2022-23 placement session, which is said to be the highest number ever recorded in IIT Madra's placement history. Last year, it received 407 offers from recruiters on its placement drive.

On the first day, recruiters at IIT Madras were Texas Instruments (14 offers), Bajaj Auto and Chetak Tech (10 offers), Qualcomm (8 offers), JPMorgan Chase and Co (9 offers), Proctor & Gamble (7 offers), Morgan Stanley (6 offers), Graviton (6 offers), McKinsey and Company (5 offers) and Cohesity (5 offers).

In addition to this, the IIT Roorkee placement drive recorded the highest international job offer with a salary package of INR 16 crore and the domestic package stood at Rs.1.3 Crore for this year. During the ongoing campus drive, a total of 6 students were placed on December 1, 2022.

International offers are expected to be offered by Squarepoint Capital for Canada, Rakuten for Japan, and Tolaram Group for Nigeria at the IITs placement drive for this year. As of now, the IITs in India have either conducted their placement drive or are in the process.
