IIT Placements 2022: Recorded a High Number of Employment Offers for the Class of 2022


New Delhi: IIT Bombay, Madras, Delhi and others have recorded a high number of employment offers for the class of 2022 in the IIT Placements 2022. 

Despite the pandemic and lockdown reducing the number of offers, the class of 2022 of IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati and IIT BHU have managed to not only secure high job offers but have also set a brand-new record for these top IIT's.

Usually, the students who plan to enroll to an IITs across India frequently look out for IIT IIT Placements and the employment prospects that will become available to them once they pass out from the institute. 

According to the latest reports, the IIT Bombay class of 2022 witnessed a 25% increase in students placed this year, despite the average batch size growing by 15%.

80 percent of IIT Madras students chose campus placements and received offers in contrast to last year, when just 61 percent of IIT Madras students were placed. 

The latest reports suggest that a large number of students were placed at IIT Delhi during the 2022 placement season. The institute saw 82 percent of students were placed, up from 79.6 percent in 2021.

The number of students placed rose at IIT Guwahati from 61.17 percent to 76 percent, and the institute witnessed a rise from 65.3 percent to 86.5 percent.

80.9 percent students from IIT BHU secured jobs after placement season as compared to 58.5 percent in 2021. 

Although no IIT has achieved 100% placement, IIT Placement Heads stated that the amount of placements for 2022 were "exceptionally good." 

As per the spokesperson from IIT Bombay, the rise in student placements follows the recovery and return of employment creation following the pandemic lockdowns.

The reports revealed that 86 percent of students at IIT Kharagpur were hired, up from 80 percent. As for the new IITs, more than 90% of undergraduate students have been placed from IIT Gandhinagar, compared to 80% in 2021.
