IP University’s Swayam Relaunches ‘All-Time Best Course’ on Media; Check Details Here

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University’s MOOCs course ‘Society and Media’ has been relaunched by the Swayam (Government of India) platform continuously for the third time.

The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has been glorified by the Society and Media course because it was ranked in the ‘All-Time Best Course’ by an International MOOCs course aggregator Class Central.

The portal ranks courses based on the reviews received from the learners. Society and Media course of the GGSIP University is the only course related to media in the top 100 courses.

The Media course at GGSIP University faced strong competition from various prestigious universities of the world including Princeton University, Harvard University and Yale University.

Enrolment is now open and learners could enrol themselves in the four-credit course which is offered over a duration of 15 weeks. The final assessment of the course will be held by the National Testing Agency (NTA)

Over 1,270 candidates have participated in the course in its last run. Candidates who are all interested could enrol themselves for the course within February 2021. The enrolment is free of cost and candidates need not pay any fee for the enrolment in the Society and Media course offered at GGSIP University.

The course is successfully run by Dr. Durgesh Tripathi of the University School of Mass Communication for two consecutive years. 

Dr Tripathi stated, “Students should take up interdisciplinary courses on the SWAYAM platform for enhancing their academic horizon. He believes that the ‘Society and Media’ course can be beneficial for the students in an age where Media Literacy is increasingly becoming the life skill. The course will help the learners to discover the interlinkages between contemporary society and media as an institution.”
