New Delhi: Guru Gobind Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), widely known as IP University has joined hands with one of the leading Australian University; i.e. Murdoch University to boost academic collaboration.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed in this regard between the IP University, Registrar, Manoj Kumar and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Murdoch University, Kelly Smith. 

The MoU has been signed with the intention of enhancing academic cooperation in a number of areas, including research, research training, teaching, curriculum and course design, sharing and dissemination of academic materials, training programmes, among others.

In addition to the aforementioned objectives, the MoU also focuses on the objectives of staff, student, and scholar exchange, sponsorship of cooperative seminars, workshops, and academic gatherings, as well as joint initiatives in areas of mutual interest.

It must be emphasised that this is the IP University's 14th worldwide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with reputable higher education institutions abroad. 

The Directorate of International Affairs of the university consistently builds strong international connections through a variety of cross-cultural initiatives. 

According to the latest reports, some of the prominent dignitaries present at the occasion were senior professor of IP University Prof P C Sharma; Director – International Affairs Prof Vijita S Aggarwal;  Director – Academic Affairs Prof CS Rai; Director – Research & Consultancy Prof Nimisha Sharma, Dean – University School of Management Studies & Director – Development of the University Prof AK Saini.

The university had previously reported that it had received around 650 applications, which is the largest number of applications from international students till date—for admission to a variety of courses from undergraduate to PhD level for the academic year 2022–2023. 

As per the university’s reports, over 650 applications from prospective students have been received till June 15, which was the application deadline for foreign applicants. While only 18 applications from international students for PhD programmes have been received.
