Candidates seeking admissions into the courses offered by the university will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria.

Name of the Courses	Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor of Library and Information Science Course	10+2+3 Honours Graduate (in any discipline) with 50% marks in Honours subjects (45% for OBC-A/OBC-B category & 40% for SC/ST/PD category) from the University, or any other university, accepted as equivalent thereto by the Statutory Bodies of the University/norms prescribed by the Regulatory Bodies as applicable subject to such conditions as may be prescribed there.
Master of Library and Information Science (Digital Library) course	Candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree in any subject with BLIS degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution with minimum 3 years of experience (as on the date for submission of application) after passing BLIS as a whole-time salaried staff member in a recognized a library or information center is eligible.
Master of Library and Information Science course	Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any subject with BLIS degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution with minimum 3 years of experience (as on the date for submission of application) after passing BLIS as a whole-time salaried staff member in a recognized library or information center.

Jadavpur University B.L.I.Sc, M.L.I.Sc Admission 2022: Selection Process

Selection to the bachelor's course will be made on the basis of a Written Admission Test.
Selection of candidates for the master's degree in the respective categories will be made in order of merit ascertained on the basis of 50% weightage on the marks secured in the BLIS examination and 50% weightage on the marks secured in the Written Admission Test.

The Entrance Examination paper will be of an objective type consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions.
The paper will carry 100 marks and will be of 11/2 hours duration.
The standard of the paper will be of the level of knowledge as expected of a graduate of any faculty of a recognized University.
There will be no negative marking.
